The Port Phillip EcoCentre, a renowned community-managed nonprofit, is dedicated to reconnecting people with nature through education, science, policy, and action. With over 40 awards since 1999, the EcoCentre thrives on collaboration with community and corporate partners. Participants on this tour will explore St Kilda West Beach's native vegetation, intertidal zones, and learn about managing habitat, climate, and cultural heritage at a vibrant recreation site. Engaging in hands-on activities like biodiversity surveys, beach litter audits, and microplastics audits, attendees will delve into how citizen science, policy, design, and technology can drive resilient, sustainable cities.
