Dr. Warren Hicks is a renewable energy and energy transition specialist with more than 25 years of experience across consultancy, engineering and project development. His expertise includes wind, solar PV, and battery storage, supported by extensive experience in hydrogen, grid systems, and energy-yield assessment. Advising developers, utilities, investors and lenders across the UK, Europe and international markets, he has built an authoritative command of the technical and commercial factors that shape renewable project viability.
Warren has held senior roles with leading organizations including Ricardo, RWE Innogy, Natural Power, Arcus Consulting, and Enertis/Applus/Barlovento. His work has covered technical due diligence, feasibility assessment, and project development, helping stakeholders strengthen project bankability and investment confidence. Alongside his professional career, he brings 13 years of teaching experience with The Open University and has guest lectured at the University of Reading and Kingston University, enabling him to translate complex energy concepts into clear, practical learning.

Chartered Exam
At the end of the program, there will be an exam comprised of 50 multiple choice questions. Upon passing the exam, you will be accredited with the Certified Renewable Energy Transition Specialist (CETX™) credential.

- The exam has 50 multiple choice questions and you need to answer 25 out of 50 questions correctly to pass exam.
