Geopolitical risk has emerged as one of the most consequential — and least predictable — threats facing organizations and countries worldwide. From armed conflict, and economic sanctions to trade fragmentation, cyber warfare, and resource nationalism, geopolitical shocks can trigger cascading financial, operational, and reputational failures at scale — often with little warning and across multiple regions simultaneously.
This certified program is built to give you a commanding grasp of the geopolitical forces reshaping global business, investment, and security decisions in a deeply uncertain world. You will discover how geopolitical developments drive strategic, operational, and financial risks — and how to turn that insight into sharper decisions and stronger organizational resilience. Through real-world case studies, you will master practical frameworks to assess geopolitical threats, evaluate country and sovereign risks, and analyze the business impact of international relations, security dynamics, and economic statecraft.
Beyond that, this program helps you build genuine expertise in supply chain resilience, energy security, and geopolitical forecasting, so you can navigate global disruptions with confidence and keep your business moving. You will gain practical skills to monitor emerging risks, forecast geopolitical developments, and design enterprise-wide risk management strategies that safeguard business continuity and long-term resilience. Through applied simulations and contemporary case studies, you will also learn to interpret geopolitical intelligence, craft executive-level briefings, and translate complex global developments into clear, actionable business recommendations.
Upon completing the program and passing the Chartered exam, you will earn the Certified Geopolitical Risk Manager (CGR™)
designation for your professional credentials. Globally recognized and in growing demand, this credential is powerful proof of your ability to assess and manage geopolitical risks while driving strategic decision-making and organizational resilience.
