Energy supply chain disruption has emerged as one of the most consequential risks facing organizations and countries worldwide. From geopolitical tension and critical energy shortages to extreme weather and cyber threats, the vulnerabilities embedded in global energy supply chains can trigger cascading economic and operational failures at scale.
This certified program is designed to equip energy leaders with the strategic insight and practical risk management capabilities required to navigate today’s increasingly volatile energy supply chain landscape. Throughout the program, you will explore the full energy supply chain lifecycle, from upstream sourcing and transportation to storage, trading, procurement, and end-use operations. You will gain a deep understanding of your organization/country’s energy structural vulnerabilities, geopolitical risk exposures, supplier concentration challenges, infrastructure weaknesses, and the market forces shaping energy security across gas, LNG, power, coal, and other critical resources.
This program will also provide you with practical tools to strengthen supplier risk management, structure resilient procurement strategies, assess LNG and PPA contract risks, and apply hedging, scenario planning, and crisis response frameworks with confidence. In addition, you will learn how to navigate critical regulatory requirements, sanctions exposure, trading compliance, cyber resilience obligations, and transition-related supply chain risks. By the end of the program, you will be equipped to anticipate disruption, protect energy portfolios, and lead supply chain resilience strategies with authority and precision.
On completing the program and passing the Chartered exam, you will attain the Certified Energy Supply Chain Disruption and
Risk Management Leader (CESC™) designation. This globally recognized certification demonstrates your expertise in safeguarding energy supply chains and positions you as a trusted leader able to manage uncertainty and enhance operational resilience in an increasingly volatile energy landscape - positioning you for senior energy leadership roles in global organizations.
(Prof. Prashanth Shanmugan will be conducting the Europe and Africa sessions, Eugene Tan will be conducting the Australia & APAC sessions.)
