Fully Accredited Program Australia Mandatory Climate Reporting and Sustainability Disclosure Compliance

Australia’s mandatory climate reporting regime is now in force, with the first reporting requirements commencing on 1 January 2027. Treasury analysis estimated that the regime could ultimately extend to as many as 4,555 entities, with reporting thresholds progressively reaching companies with over $50 million in revenue, $25 million in assets or more than 100 employees. As disclosure expectations intensify, organizations must deliver climate information that is well-governed, supportable, and ready for assurance.

This certified program gives you a practical, end-to-end framework for mastering Australia's mandatory climate reporting and sustainability disclosure regime. You will determine reporting obligations, assess thresholds and disclosure boundaries, and apply the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards and IFRS S2 requirements with confidence, while strengthening climate governance and board accountability. You will also gain a commanding grasp of physical and transition climate risk, Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions accounting, and the internal controls that underpin credible, defensible reporting.

Through practical case studies and implementation exercises, you will sharpen your ability to improve climate data quality, conduct scenario analysis, and perform climate stress testing with confidence. You will also learn to assess financial materiality, prepare for external assurance, and produce defensible climate disclosures that reduce reporting risk. Crucially, this program will equip you to detect compliance gaps, greenwashing exposure, and governance weaknesses before they escalate into costly regulatory issues. By the end, you will be fully equipped to build a practical climate compliance roadmap that elevates reporting credibility, regulatory readiness, and organizational resilience.

Upon successful completion, you will earn the Certification in Australia Mandatory Climate Reporting and Sustainability Disclosure Compliance, a distinguished professional credential that validates your practical capability to interpret reporting requirements, strengthen climate governance and data controls, prepare for assurance, and lead credible sustainability disclosure across your organization.

What Can You Expect From This Live Program

Australia's Mandatory Climate Reporting and Sustainability Disclosure regime represents one of the most significant reforms in Australian corporate reporting, requiring organizations to disclose comprehensive climate-related financial information under the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS). The requirements extend well beyond greenhouse gas emissions, encompassing governance, climate risks, transition planning, scenario analysis, financial impacts, and sustainability-related disclosures that demand close integration across finance, sustainability, risk, legal, and executive functions. As regulatory scrutiny intensifies, many organizations face serious challenges in collecting reliable data, reporting Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, conducting climate scenario analysis, and ensuring disclosures are consistent, auditable, and aligned with evolving expectations.

This certified program will provide you with an in-depth understanding of Australia's Mandatory Climate Reporting framework and equip you with the expertise to navigate increasingly complex sustainability disclosure obligations with confidence. You will gain comprehensive knowledge of the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS), mandatory climate disclosure requirements, climate governance frameworks, greenhouse gas accounting methodologies, materiality assessments, climate-related financial risks, transition planning, and the integration of sustainability information into corporate financial reporting. You will also build practical capabilities in emissions measurement, data governance, internal controls, assurance readiness, and reporting processes that underpin regulatory compliance and organizational transparency.

Furthermore, you will gain valuable insight into internationally recognized sustainability frameworks, including the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and relevant ISO standards that underpin effective climate governance and reporting. You will learn to implement robust sustainability reporting systems, strengthen governance and risk management processes, develop credible climate transition strategies, and deliver high-quality disclosures that satisfy both Australian regulatory requirements and global investor expectations.

Upon successful completion, you will earn the Certification in Australia Mandatory Climate Reporting and Sustainability Disclosure Compliance. This distinguished credential validates your ability to oversee climate reporting, coordinate assurance-ready evidence, and manage sustainability disclosure controls. It stands as a powerful testament to your capability to close reporting gaps, strengthen management accountability, and lead climate compliance implementation across your organization.
